Eliana — Privacy Policy

Eliana (“the app”) is a Tigrigna language-learning app published by Weegix Technology Solutions LLC (“Weegix”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how we protect it. We have designed Eliana to collect as little data as possible.

In short: Eliana works fully offline. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, photos, or location. We show no ads and never sell data. The only information we store is anonymous learning progress, and only if you choose to turn on cloud sync.

1. Information we collect

The app functions without any account. If you choose to enable Cloud Sync (an optional feature), the app creates an anonymous account and stores the following so your progress can follow you across devices:

The anonymous progress data is used for one purpose only: to save and restore your learning progress (app functionality). We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

4. Service providers

Eliana uses Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) to provide the optional cloud sync feature. Data is transmitted securely over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google’s servers. Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security terms.

5. Purchases

Eliana offers an optional one-time premium upgrade. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play; we never see or store your payment card details. Google’s handling of payment data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Children’s privacy

Eliana is designed to be safe for learners of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only data stored (an anonymous ID and learning progress) contains no personal identity. We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families Policy. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention and deletion

If Cloud Sync is on, your anonymous progress is stored until you delete it. You can clear all progress at any time from Settings → Reset progress inside the app. To request deletion of any synced data, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

8. Data security

All data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Stored data is protected by Google Firebase’s security infrastructure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
