DeepRooted ("the app") is developed by Weegix Technology Solutions LLC ("Weegix", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. In short: your journal, reflections, roots, and assessments stay on your phone. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the following only in a local database on your device: your first name, the tradition you choose, lesson progress, reflection answers, practice progress, journal entries, My Roots entries, and assessment results. This information is never sent to Weegix. We have no servers that receive it and no way to access it.
No account, no tracking
DeepRooted does not require an account or sign-in. The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking tools.
Optional reflective companion
The app includes an optional AI companion that is turned off by default. If you choose to turn it on, you enter your own Anthropic API key, which is stored only on your device. When you send a message to the companion, that message is sent securely over HTTPS directly from your device to Anthropic's API to generate a response. If you also turn on the setting to share reflection scores, your most recent reflection scores are included. Journal entries are never sent.
Messages sent to the companion are handled by Anthropic under its own terms and privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Weegix does not receive or store these messages.
Responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. You can report any response using the Report option, which opens an email to us containing the response you chose to report.
Internet access
The app uses internet access only for the optional companion and for opening links you tap, such as the Weegix website.
Deleting your data
Because all data is stored on your device, you are in full control. You can delete individual journal entries and roots items in the app. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your Android settings, permanently deletes all app data.
Children
DeepRooted is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app does not send personal data to us, no such information is collected.
Security
Data stays within the app's private storage on your device. Communication with the optional companion uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
